These Release Notes provide information about installing and using the HT DNA 5K Ver2 Assay with the LabChip HT software. Please read this information carefully as it supersedes all printed material or Online Help.
System Configuration
To run the HT DNA 5K Ver2 assay on a LabChip 90, AMS90, or AMS90 SE instrument, the LabChip HT software should be run on the computer supplied by Caliper Life Sciences with the following minimum system configuration:
Caliper Software
LabChip HT V2.6.1 SP1 or higher required
Environment
Screen Savers and power save (hibernate/sleep) modes should not be used with LabChip HT software. This may result in loss of data collected during instrument operation.
Patch Installation
The LabChip HT V2.6 SP1 software must already be installed on your system PC. To install the HT DNA 5K Ver2 assay:
1. Close all programs.

If the patch is on a CD, insert the HT DNA 5K Ver2 Assay CD into CD-ROM drive.
If you are downloading the software from www.CaliperLS.com,
save the EXE file to a location on the local hard drive.
3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to thesoftware location (CD drive or download location).
4. Double-click on the EXE file. The self-extracting ZIP file automatically installs the new assay.
This patch installs the new HT DNA 5K Ver2 assay. The HT DNA 5K Ver2 assay uses Alexa dye as the lower marker. The assay will be extracted to C:\Program Files\Caliper LabChipHT\Assays\dsDNA\.
